Burien Arts Association The Burien Arts Association was formally organized in April 1967, following the area's first arts festival and the establishment of an art gallery the previous year. The activities of the Burien Arts Association, besides operation of the Burien Arts Gallery, include the annual Strawberry Festival and Heritage Fair, funding arts-related projects for Burien-area students, arts classes, and taking a leadership role in coordinating arts events in Burien.
